Dir. Daniel Roher | Crime / Drama | U.S.A. / Canada | 2025 | 1 hr. 49 min.
Former professional pianist Niki White (Leo Woodall) has extraordinary hearing. After his once-promising career is derailed, he turns his skill to piano tuning, making a modest living in New York alongside his mentor Harry (Dustin Hoffman), an aging craftsman whose own hearing is fading. Niki’s rare auditory sensitivity allows him to discern the subtlest tonal imperfections and opens the door to unexpected possibilities. When a chance encounter pulls him toward a risky new opportunity, his carefully balanced life begins to shift, testing his relationship with a talented music composition student, as well as his values and ambitions. A romantic thriller with an international cast that also includes Tovah Feldshuh and Jean Reno, this film is the narrative-feature directorial debut of Oscar winner Daniel Roher (Navalny).
Tickets for this screening are general-admission and pay-what-you-can.
