TRAVEL
BY AIR
- If you're flying to the Island, we recommend checking out Cape Air.
- Cape Air offers year-round flights from Boston and NYC.
BY SEA
- If you're traveling by boat, be sure to visit the Steamship Authority website.
- Our festival partner, the Steamship Authority provides transportation to and from Martha’s Vineyard year round from its port in Woods Hole, MA. Trips are 45 minutes long, and in March, Vineyard Haven is the only destination on the Island.
- Car reservations are required in advance, but walk-on passenger tickets may be purchased on the day of travel. Purchase tickets online or directly at the Steamship terminal.
- Click here for parking info for walk-on passengers.

TRANSPORTATION
Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA)
To easily travel to MVFF venues, take advantage of the VTA's free bus service! Bus routes #1, #2, #3, #6, and #13 connect the festival venues, with stops at the West Tisbury Town Hall and the Steamship Authority terminal in Vineyard Haven.
Taxis, Uber, or Lyft
- If you’re ordering an Uber, Lyft, or taxi, please plan to do so at least 30 minutes before your screening. The Island is bigger than it seems, and it may take time for your driver to reach your location.
- Please note, the number of Uber and Lyft drivers on Martha’s Vineyard in the off-season is much smaller than in the busier summer months, making taxis your best option.
