In Churchill, Manitoba, also known as the “polar bear capital of the world,” ancient migration routes now intersect with tourists, wildlife officers, and growing human infrastructure, forcing the bears into an uneasy coexistence with modern life. As one is labeled a “nuisance” for wandering too close to town, this Sundance-winning documentary reveals how the bears are constantly monitored, photographed, and redirected in the name of safety and control. Guided by an Inuit narrator, this immersive film challenges us to reconsider who truly belongs in this shared landscape.
Tickets for this screening are general-admission and pay-what-you-can.
The suggested ticket price is $20. If you can pay more, we greatly appreciate it!
