Following the loss of their daughter, bereaved parents Avena and Mark have retreated into separate lives within NeuraLife, a virtual platform indistinguishable from reality. When Avena is unexpectedly awakened by her daughter’s spirit, she is propelled into a cerebral journey of self-discovery and determination to reconnect with her husband, who has become increasingly dependent on the digital world. As memory and reality begin to blur, she crosses between realms in a desperate effort to save Mark and herself. Shot entirely on Martha’s Vineyard, with community talent, this emotionally resonant sci-fi drama explores grief, technology, and the enduring power of human connection.
Tickets for these screenings are general-admission and pay-what-you-can.
