Once a towering figure in London’s pop art scene of the 1960s and ‘70s, Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen) is now a broke, bitter has-been who has not painted in decades. As his health fades, his two estranged children grow desperate for an inheritance and enlist Lori (Michaela Coel), a gifted art restorer and former forger, to pose as his assistant and secretly complete his long-abandoned canvases.
