CIRCUS PERFORMING WITH DAVE DARWIN, THE ONE-MAN SIDESHOW

Learn to juggle with Dave Darwin, a performer whose comedy sideshow act includes juggling while playing the harmonica, eating and manipulating fire, plate spinning, unicycling, and so much more. His comedic and daring act was featured on NBC's America's Got Talent.

 

ACTING AND DIRECTING WITH AMY BRENNEMAN & BRAD SILBERLING
THURSDAY, July 9
3 - 5:30 PM (Ages 6+)
Morgan Learning Center at the Mayhew Schoolhouse, Vineyard Haven
Participate in an acting and directing workshop that will culminate in filming a scene written by Brad Silberling, and getting to act opposite Amy Brenneman! Amy is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor, writer, and producer whose career includes the television series Judging Amy and Private Practice, and the films Heat and Casper. Brad is a director, producer, and writer. His directing credits include City of Angels, Moonlight Mile, and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

YOUTH CONSENSES
THURSDAY, July 23
6 - 7:30 PM (All ages welcome)
Owen Park, Vineyard Haven (**Rain Location: Morgan Learning Center**)
Participate in a mini Consenses project guided by Sally Taylor, Consenses founder. What does Martha’s Vineyard mean to you? Kids will get to explore this theme through various art forms, including music, dance, collage, and more.
Porto Pizza slices will be for sale, along with popcorn and delicious desserts, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM.

MAKE A PUPPET AND MEET CAROLL SPINNEY (a.k.a. Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch)
THURSDAY, July 30
6 - 7:30 PM (All ages welcome)

Ever wanted to make a puppet? Here is your chance, from the simple to the complicated. We will have tons of supplies on hand so that your kids can let their imaginations run wild. After the workshop, you get to meet and introduce your
puppet to Mr. Spinney, the puppeteer of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street! Porto Pizza slices will be for sale, along with popcorn and delicious desserts.

MAKE A SHORT WESTERN
THURSDAY, August 13
6 - 7:30 PM (All ages welcome)
Owen Park, Vineyard Haven (**Rain Date: Friday, August 14**)
Come dressed up in your best cowboy outfit (or check out our costume trunk when you arrive) and lasso the opportunity to film, direct, or star in a short Western. Using scenes from Zeno Mountain Farm’s acclaimed film Bulletproof, we will take a crack at putting our own Cinema Circus twist on their script! Porto Pizza slices will be for sale, along with popcorn and delicious desserts.

CINEMA CIRCUS RETURNS!
SATURDAY, August 15
3 - 7 PM
The Grange Hall, West Tisbury

Join Rory, Ellie, the Ringmaster, and your favorite friends for an afternoon of fun for ALL AGES. Activities include filmmaking, acting, and improvisation workshops, live shows, face painting, balloon art, scrumptious food for kids and adults, dress-up, craft-making, and a screening of international short films. This is the not-to-be-missed family event of the summer! 

 

These workshops are co-presented by the Chilmark Community Center, IMP for Kids, Martha's Vineyard Museum, and MVTV.
