a weekly discussion series conceived and moderated by Diana Barrett, Ph.D., and Jake H. Davis, Ph.D.

Join us as we take the conversation in a new direction. We will start with a meaningful topic and then turn inwards to explore the emotions that motivate speech and action. Sometimes we will take a break from talking altogether and really be quiet for a moment.

This week’s topic is MARRIAGE, exploring how committed relationships impact mental health.

Pre-registration is required. Limited to a maximum of 40 participants. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Thursday, August 8, 10 AM–12 PM, The Hayloft at Beach Plum Inn, Chilmark

About our guests: Kenneth Paul Rosenberg, M.D., is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital, and has published two popular books since 2018, one on infidelity and one on serious mental illness. Julianne Vanderhoop is a member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head-Aquinnah and a business owner, beekeeper, mother of two, commercial pilot, and Aquinnah selectwoman. Hilary Dreyer, the MVFF’s executive director, has been married for a whole seven months, and the most recent fight she picked with her husband was where to sit on the ferry. (She dislikes sitting in the lunch counter area.)
