The Martha's Vineyard Film Festival's Filmmaking Camp is a unique program in which students learn from the environment and culture of the Island while getting hands-on filmmaking experience.  For an example of a sample day, click here.

Each two-week session will cover the basics of stop-motion animation, green screen/special effects, live-action shorts,  documentary film, and more! There will be all-ages activities daily, as well as opportunities for children to work in their age groups.

Students will be able to work together to make small projects, play, and reflect. At the end of every two-week session there will also be a screening of their work.

Cinema Circus is a FREE and exciting event held every Wednesday in July and August. There are fun activities, a live performance, and short films. Campers are encouraged to stay and participate in the fun.

This camp is EVERYTHING!

Filmmaking Camp can be combined with the Chilmark Community Center's summer program
that runs from 9-12 p.m., for 7.5 hours of coverage. Register separately for that.

On Wednesdays, children and adults can join us for our free Cinema Circus
Campers can stay to help set up, and also participate in, circus antics, activities, and films for kids beginning at 5:30 p.m.

*The VTA bus has a stop at the Chilmark Community Center. To get to it from both up and down Island,
